Chiropractic Services

  • Active Release Techniques® (ART®)

Active Release Technique® (ART®) is a state of the art movement based soft tissue technique for the treatment of muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, and nerves. Often, overuse or repetitive strain can cause the body to create dense fibrous scar tissue that binds and ties down tissues that need to move freely. This can result in decrease range of motion, loss of strength, pinched nerves, and pain.

    • There are over 500 specific treatment protocols.
  • Graston Technique®

Graston Technique® is an instrument-assisted soft tissue technique that enables clinicians to effectively break down scar tissue and fascial restrictions.

    Benefits:

    • Decreases overall time of treatment
    • Fosters faster rehabilitation/recovery
    • Reduces need for anti-inflammatory medication
    • Resolves chronic conditions thought to be permanent
  • Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a Contemporary Acupuncture Precise peripheral nerve stimulation technique in which acupuncture needles are inserted into anatomically defined sites and are stimulated manually or with electricity for the therapeutic purpose of modulating abnormal activity of the nervous system.

    What Does Acupuncture Do?

    • Decrease muscle tension
    • Increase blood flow to the area which will aid in healing
    • Help regulate the nervous system's input to the muscle to restore normal function
    • Decrease pain and inflammation
  • Vibromax

Vibromax is a unique soft tissue modality therapy featuring a vibrating hand held device. Via the art of compression and tension applied to the soft tissues along the known kinetic chain to break down adhesions and scar tissues.

    Benefits:

    • Restore function, ROM, performance, and decrease pain
    • Mobilization of soft tissues and joints
    • Breaking down adhesions and scar tissues with minimal discomfort to the
patient and the provider due to analgesic effects of vibration
    • Enhancing power and strength
  • Adjustment or Spinal Manipulation

Adjustments or Spinal Manipulation is a highly skilled and precise procedure applied by the hands to a joint that is restricted in movement. The goal is to improve and restore joint mobility and reduce muscle tension surrounding the joint. Thereby, increasing range of motion, decreasing pain and optimizing function. Most patients experience immediate relief following an adjustment or manipulation, however, some may experience temporary pain or stiffness.

Often with a manipulation, patients will experience a cavitation or a ‘pop’. Surrounding a joint there is a capsule, a water balloon like structure. Within that capsule, there is fluid and gas. When a joint capsule is placed under tension, such as with an adjustment, the gas then diffuses from the joint and creates a ‘pop’. The goal of an adjustment is not to create the cavitation but rather it happens incidentally.

  • Performance Taping

Tape can help decrease pain by reducing the amount of muscle tension felt at an injury site. It can also help decrease inflammation and aid in posture.

To name a few, taping has been found to help with the following:

    • Shin Splints
    • IT Band Injuries
    • Tennis/Golfer's Elbow
    • Low Back Injuries
    • Shoulder Injuries
    • Headaches
    • Achilles Injuries
  • Cupping

Cupping is a soft tissue technique featuring a silicone massage cup. It works by applying suction and tension to the soft tissues to increase blood flow and break down adhesions/scar tissues.

    Benefits:

    • Restore function, ROM, performance, and decrease pain
    • Mobilization of soft tissues and joints
    • Breaking down adhesions and scar tissues
    • Enhancing blood flow
  • Perinatal & Postpartum Care
